FAQ

 Frequently Asked Questions:

What is HDR?
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range imaging. It is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of brightness between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight. We utilize HDR unlike anyone else to guarantee your photos will be absolutely unique.

What kind of equipment do you use?
We use Nikon digital SLR cameras and lenses. We build custom light setups using all sorts of lighting equipment from DJ lights to lasers to Nikon Speedlight flashes.

Do you shoot weddings?
Yes! Weddings are great. We especially love non-traditional and alternative weddings.

When will we get to see the photos?
We try to process images as quickly as possible, but It typically takes 2-3 weeks to edit complete sets. If you are only getting a few photos taken, expect them in less than a week.

Who retains the copyrights?
We always maintain copyrights for our images. However, we do offer a DVD of your high-res, edited images with a limited non-commercial copyright license as an option. If it is commercial work, we use specific licensing structures dependent on intended use.

How long are portrait sessions?
That depends. We can go for an hour or we can go for days! It's all up to you really! We like to concentrate on having fun with our portrait subjects so be prepared to have a blast and look your best doing it.
